Sandbaggers 2011

April 23rd
McCullough Field, Laurel, MD

Due to wet field conditions, the Sandbaggers tournament for Saturday, April 23 has been CANCELLED! For those teams that pre-registered, you will be contacted regarding a refund or entry into one of our upcoming tournaments. (posted 5:12am)

Format

Grass Doubles and Juniors

Saturday (Check-in between 7:45 and 8:30AM)

Men's Doubles: AAA, A, BB, B
Women's Doubles: AAA, A, BB, B
Reverse COED Doubles: AAA, A, BB, B

Junior players (18 and under) can play but must register in an adult division (A, BB or B).

NOTE: Reverse COED is played on a net set to women's height (2.24m/7'4.125"). Men are required to hit from the 3m/10 ft. line and may not block.

Beltway (495) to 95 North, Exit onto route 198 East (toward Laurel),
Turn left onto 7th Street (7-Eleven), Left onto Montgomery Avenue Follow to McCullough Field.

Note: Not all formats are offered at all events. In some cases, divisions may be combined.

Tournament Tips

ball Check-in is from 7:45 to 8:30AM. Play starts at 9:00 AM.

ball-Please plan on being at the tourney until dusk.

ball All players must be present to sign the waiver at the time of check-in.

ball Tournament format: Pool play with the top two teams advancing to playoffs for divisions with more than one net.

ball No playoffs for divisions with only one net.

ball Bring your own ball

ball Bring plenty of food and drinks (water or sports drinks).

ball Sunscreen is a must.

ball Chairs and blankets can make in-between match time more comfy and umbrellas, tents or canopies can shield you from the hot sun.
